Softball Game Preview: Charleroi Cougars vs. East Allegheny Wild Cats

The Charleroi Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the East Allegheny Wild Cats at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. East Allegheny took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Charleroi, who comes in off a win.

While Charleroi's win against Keystone Oaks wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Golden Eagles on Wednesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Charleroi's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Skobel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, East Allegheny was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 14-0 to Keystone Oaks.

Charleroi's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for East Allegheny, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
