Basketball Recap: Owen Schlager Key Part of Team Effort in Shamrocks Win

Trinity lost to Middletown back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Trinity Shamrocks were the clear victor by a 74-49 margin over the Middletown Blue Raiders. The Shamrocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Schlager, who went 11-for-16 en route to 24 points. Schlager has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more points the last 19 times he's played. Reece Brown was another key player, going 6-for-7 to rack up 17 points and three steals.

Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.3 points. As for Middletown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.

Coming up, Trinity will challenge Cumberland Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cumberland Valley will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Trinity surely won't give up without a fight. Middletown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
