Basketball Recap: Vance County Sets Scoring Season-High Against Granville Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vance County). They strolled past the Granville Central Panthers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 67-49. With that win, the Vipers brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vance County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayden Roberts, who went 7-for-9 en route to 20 points and five blocks. Vance County is undefeated when Roberts posts 15 or more points, but 5-16 otherwise. Del'Quaveon Bullock was another key player, going 8-for-13 on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Vance County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Granville Central, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16.

Vance County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-55 defeat against J.F. Webb on the 14th. Granville Central has also already played their next match (against South Granville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
