Football Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Viewmont Vikings

The Alta Hawks will take on the Viewmont Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Alta and three for Viewmont.

Alta is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 42-31 to Bountiful on Friday. The Hawks gained 54 more yards on the day, but it was the Redhawks that made the best use of them.

Despite their defeat, Alta saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Trevyn Fabrizio, who picked up 145 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, was perhaps the best of all. Fabrizio got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Evan Morton, who picked up 92 receiving yards and two scores.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Viewmont's offense. They lost 24-0 to Olympus on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Alta's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Viewmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
