It was a classic East v. West duel when West Valley challenged East Valley on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Knights 18-4. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

West Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Valley, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

West Valley and East Valley will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Clarkston at 3:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for East Valley, their break will end when they face Pullman at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
