Volleyball Recap: Ludlow Comes Up Short

Ludlow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Central Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ludlow took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-22.

Ludlow's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Ludlow will welcome Chicopee Comp at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Colts will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Minnechaug Regional on the 10th.
