Recap: East Columbus Gators vs. North Moore Mustangs
With a playoff game on the line, the East Columbus Gators rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Mustangs 64-22 at home. Winning may never get old, but East Columbus sure is getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
East Columbus found their leader in underclassman Malia J. Graham, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. J. Graham has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaley Mitchell, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
East Columbus' victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for North Moore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.
East Columbus will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Duplin at 6:00 p.m. East Columbus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. North Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
