Serra (Gardena, Calif.) defensive end Oluwole Betiku has decommitted from UCLA.

The five-star recruit made his announcement via Twitter on Friday morning. He had been committed to the Bruins since August.

Other schools continued to recruit Betiku aggressively despite his UCLA commitment, including Texas A&M, Penn State, Florida State and Notre Dame.

Betiku visited College Station over the weekend. In the wake of his decommitment, there is already a 247Sports Crystal Ball projection for Betiku to sign with the Aggies.

A Nigerian native who began this high school career in Maryland, Betiku has blossomed at Serra, where he's the latest in a long line of five-star recruits.

He is enjoying a prodigous senior season. In eight games, he's made 44 tackles and 9.5 sacks.
