Baseball Recap: Williamsburg Comes Up Short

Williamsburg suffered their closest defeat since June 16, 2025 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Notre Dame Nikes by a score of 7-5. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Nikes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2025.

Williamsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Notre Dame, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamsburg will welcome Center Point-Urbana at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders are facing the Pointers at the right time seeing as the Pointers are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Notre Dame, they will face off against Hillcrest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
