Football Game Recap: Clinton vs. Melbourne

After a string of three wins, Melbourne's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Clinton 26-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Melbourne of the 12-39 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.

Senior Sky Davidson, who rushed for 128 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Clinton's success. In fact, with nine tackles Davidson was a force on both sides of the ball. Clinton also got a significant boost from senior Caleb Bowman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 123 yards.

The defeat dropped Melbourne's record to 3-2. The win bumped Clinton's record up to 5-0.

Next week Melbourne take on Marshall at 7:00 PM. As for Clinton, they will face off against Cedar Ridge. Unlike Clinton, Cedar Ridge will be limping in after taking a loss.
