Softball Game Preview: Lowell Red Devils vs. Highland Trojans

The Lowell Red Devils will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Highland Trojans at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, Lowell didn't have quite enough to beat Andrean and fell 5-4. The Red Devils have struggled against the Fighting 59ers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Preslee Hill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

While Highland didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past Valparaiso 7-5. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Trojans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Lowell took their win against Highland when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
