Basketball Recap: Wisconsin School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

Wisconsin School for the Deaf extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 74-20 loss at the hands of the Rock County Christian Eagles. The Firebirds were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-10.

As for Rock County Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 29 points or more this season.

Macen Osland produced another solid effort shooting 4-for-6 from downtown and dropping a double-double with 24 points and ten steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least 22 points. Gideon Ukwuorji was another key player, going 9-for-16 to rack up 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks.

Coming up, Wisconsin School for the Deaf will square off against Waukesha Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock County Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bay City Baptist at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
