It was close, but on Thursday the Strawberry Crest Chargers sidestepped the Lake Gibson Braves for a 2-1 win.

Carter Priede and Prince Tonge scored both of Strawberry Crest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Strawberry Crest's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lake Gibson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strawberry Crest will host Wharton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Gibson, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Region at 8:00 p.m. on December 1.
