Eagle Point is 8-2 against North Eugene since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. Eagle Point has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while North Eugene will come in with three straight wins.

Eagle Point might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-1 to Churchill, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, North Eugene's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let Springfield get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won 12 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Gracie Hibler and Delaney McElravy were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hibler pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, McElravy tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hibler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. At bat, Hibler got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI, while McElravy got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, North Eugene got a massive performance out of Camden DeWitt, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most runs DeWitt has posted since back in April. Peyton Ebert was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.

North Eugene's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Eagle Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Eagle Point came up short against North Eugene in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 6-1. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
