Baseball Recap: Lompoc Comes Up Short

Lompoc and Ridgeview squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lompoc had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolf Pack by a score of 2-0.

Jack Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Ridgeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lompoc nor Ridgeview have any future games scheduled.
