Basketball Recap: Brainerd Finds Playoff Glory Versus Sauk Rapids-Rice

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brainerd walked away with it. They secured a 71-66 W over the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Storm are ranked 22nd).

Brainerd is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. The loss snapped Sauk Rapids-Rice's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-6 record.

As of now, neither Brainerd nor Sauk Rapids-Rice have any future games scheduled.
