Basketball Game Preview: Illini Central/Greenview vs. Riverton Hawks

Illini Central/Greenview will venture away from home to challenge the Riverton Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Illini Central/Greenview, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Illini Central/Greenview made easy work of Prairie Central and carried off a 44-22 win. Illini Central/Greenview has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 53-36 to Paxton-Buckley-Loda.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Illini Central/Greenview, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Illini Central/Greenview beat Riverton 39-32 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Illini Central/Greenview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
