It was a good run, but Aurora West College Prep Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Vail Christian Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

While Aurora West College Prep Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Vail Christian work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-9, 22-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Aurora West College Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Adrian Arellano, who had 19 digs and one assist. Arellano has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Vail Christian was led to victory by JT Tena and Justin Nguyen. Tena had 22 digs, while Nguyen had eight digs. Those 22 digs gave Tena a new career-high.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Vail Christian, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Aurora West College Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Alameda on the 18th. As for Vail Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Addenbrooke Classical Academy on the 17th.
