Football Recap: Linton-Stockton Comes Up Short

Linton-Stockton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Corbin Redhounds on Saturday, falling 42-20. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 67th in Indiana, while the Redhounds are ranked ninth in Kentucky).

Russell Goodman threw for 86 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Paul Oliver was his top target, picking up 86 receiving yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linton-Stockton is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Monrovia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corbin, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge North Laurel at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
