Softball Recap: Deshler Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Deshler sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Ardmore. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Deshler has posted since March 14th.

Alivia Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

Deshler's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Ardmore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-14-1.

Deshler has already played their next match, an 8-4 loss against Lawrence County on the 12th. As for Ardmore, they will square off against Priceville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
