Softball Recap: Venus Comes Up Short

Godley hit Venus with a four-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 10-2 to the Wildcats. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Venus' loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Godley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Venus is set to square off against their familiar foe Alvarado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Godley will face off against rival Kennedale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
