Basketball Game Preview: Parkrose Broncos vs. Canby Cougars

The Parkrose Broncos will head out to square off against the Canby Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Parkrose duked it out with Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts on Friday. Parkrose took down Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts 68-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Meanwhile, Canby suffered their closest defeat since February 21, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of La Salle by a score of 77-75. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (73), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Parkrose now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Canby, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Parkrose was able to grind out a solid victory over Canby in their previous matchup back in January, winning 57-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkrose since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
