Daviess County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by nine runs or more this season.

Daviess County's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Franklin-Simpson, they now have a losing record of 10-11-1.

Coming up, Daviess County will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will welcome Westmoreland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
