Basketball Recap: Carolina Basketball Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Carolina Basketball Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Gaston Christian Eagles and fell 73-44. The Tigers were down 57-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Jaishawn Woods was a one-man wrecking crew For Gaston Christian. as he shot 50% from the field on his way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Milner, who posted nine points and three steals.

Coming up, Carolina Basketball Academy will take on Quality Education Academy on Tuesday. As for Gaston Christian, they will welcome Greensboro Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
