Basketball Game Preview: Wallace County Wildcats vs. Stanton County Trojans

The Wallace County Wildcats will square off against the Stanton County Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Monday, Wallace County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to Wichita County. The Wildcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Stanton County came up short against Lakin on Monday and fell 52-41. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stanton County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wallace County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.

Everything came up roses for Wallace County against Stanton County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 52-20 win. In that game, Wallace County amassed a halftime lead of 35-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
