Football Recap: St. Edward Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against Chicago Hope Academy, falling 64-0. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while Chicago Hope Academy are ranked 104th).

St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Chicago Hope Academy, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Edward is set to square off against their familiar foe Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chicago Hope Academy will take on rival Bishop McNamara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Chicago Hope Academy 14, Bishop McNamara 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
