Basketball Recap: Rocori Takes a Loss

Rocori was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 75-61 bruising from the Fergus Falls Otters. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Otters are ranked 85th).

Rocori's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Fergus Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Rocori will challenge Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monticello knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Rocori likes a good challenge. As for Fergus Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-63 victory against Little Falls on the 4th.
