Effingham County scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 79-63 bruising from the Brunswick Pirates. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, Effingham County still got an impressive performance from Elyjah Doty, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamar Roberts, who posted 11 points.

Effingham County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Brunswick, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
