Baseball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Premont Cowboys.

King saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jovanni Trevino, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Trevino's first of the season.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Premont, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will take on West Oso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Oso is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. Premont will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Freer at 12:00 p.m. on March 18th.
