Football Game Preview: Carver Tigers vs. Burke County Bears

Carver is on a 16-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Burke County is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Carver Tigers will host the Burke County Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Burke County likes a good challenge.

Carver is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Friday. They blew past Appling County, posting a 49-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 12 games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Burke County beat Rockmart 35-22 last Friday. The Bears' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Burke County's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Darius Jordan with two.

Burke County's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Carver, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.
