Volleyball Recap: Kylie Watson Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Woodcrest Christian + How To Watch

Linfield Christian won the last time they faced Woodcrest Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Royals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Linfield Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding Woodcrest Christian to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 25-16.

Linfield Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylie Watson out in front who had nine digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Watson a new career-high in assists (five). Another player making a difference was Payton Eden, who had eight digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Linfield Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodcrest Christian only served seven.

Linfield Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Woodcrest Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-16.

Coincidentally, Linfield Christian and Woodcrest Christian will both be playing Aquinas the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Royals will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
