Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-6 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wolverines, who until this match were averaging 3.1 runs allowed.

As for Chisago Lakes Area, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Chisago Lakes Area's part, Zander Bleymeyer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Bleymeyer also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Wildcats are 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Kellen Meissner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Cole Stilp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The Wolverines (ranked 187th) will meet Cherry (ranked 44th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chisago Lakes Area will face off against Princeton at 2:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (282 vs. 104).
