Softball Recap: Cherokee Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Cherokee owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Cherry Hill East Cougars. The Chiefs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Not much got past Cali Taylor, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep Cherry Hill East off the board. Taylor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cherokee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Cunane, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Cherokee has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Cherry Hill East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee will welcome Seneca at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cherry Hill East, they will be playing at home against Moorestown at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
