Goodland came into Friday's match having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Cimarron Bluejays out 4-2. This was a revenge contest for Goodland, as the team was forced to settle for a 5-0 loss when these two played on Friday.

Cole Linton made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Linton has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Linton was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Zach Thorsen was incredible, going 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI.

Goodland's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Cimarron, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Goodland will head out on the road to challenge Ulysses at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ulysses will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. Cimarron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
