Monessen waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Woodland Hills Wolverines 12-1.

Joey Hurst was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Hurst was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Clingenpeel, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lillie Mackey, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and three RBI.

Monessen's record now sits at 3-9. As for Woodland Hills, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Monessen will challenge Carmichaels at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland Hills, they will take on Steel Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
