Texas pledge Bijan Robinson runs for 489 yards, 6 touchdowns in three quarters

Elite running back prospect has career night in Arizona.

Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, Ariz.) running back and future Texas Longhorn Bijan Robinson had a monster night Friday in a 68-34 win over Desert Edge (Goodyear).

The senior five-star prospect ran for a career-best 489 yards and six touchdowns in three quarters of work as his Lancers improved to 2-0.

A week ago in a 63-6 win over Dobson (Mesa), Robinson ran for 111 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries. He also ran the second half kickoff back 95 yards for a score.

Robinson's previous best came in the first game of his junior campaign as he ran for 301 yards and four touchdowns. The Arizona back finished the year with over 2,400 yards and 35 scores on the ground.



The 6-foot, 205-pound senior is regarded as the No. 18 overall prospect in the Class of 2020 by 247Sports. He made a commitment to Texas last month, picking the Longhorns over Alabama, Ohio State and USC among others.
