Basketball Game Preview: Woodsboro Eagles vs. Three Rivers Bulldogs

The Woodsboro Eagles will challenge the Three Rivers Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Woodsboro and 12 for Three Rivers.

Woodsboro came up short against Refugio on Tuesday, falling 54-30. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1447th, while the Bobcats are ranked 502nd).

Meanwhile, Three Rivers was beaten by Pettus 50-21 on Tuesday.

Mylah Niembro was Three Rivers' leading scorer, having posted six points. Ava Ruiz held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Woodsboro's loss dropped their record down to 6-25. As for Three Rivers, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-17.

Woodsboro took their win against Three Rivers in their previous meeting on January 7th by a conclusive 39-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodsboro since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
