Northwest Webster barely beat South Central Calhoun the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Monday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Northwest Webster's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for South Central Calhoun, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Coming up, Northwest Webster will welcome Sioux Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Central Calhoun, they will square off against West Bend-Mallard at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
