Basketball Game Preview: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats

Mulberry Grove and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Mulberry Grove Aces will venture away from home to square off against the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Mulberry Grove came up short against Bunker Hill and fell 67-56. The Aces have struggled against the Minutemen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Mulberry Grove got top-tier performance from Landon Sugg, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Sugg is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last eight games he's played. Jackson Icenogle was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Meanwhile, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City came up short against Brownstown/St. Elmo on Thursday, falling 61-41. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mulberry Grove's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Mulberry Grove came up short against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 45-41. Can Mulberry Grove avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
