Baseball Recap: Ford Comes Up Short

Ford has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 13-2 to the Hughes Springs Mustangs. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ford's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hughes Springs, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ford will welcome Community at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Ford 4, Community 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hughes Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Rusk at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
