Basketball Recap: Logan Severson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Brea Olinda over Sunny Hills

Brea Olinda lost against Sunny Hills on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Brea Olinda Wildcats took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sunny Hills Lancers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brea Olinda's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Severson, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Jackson, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Brea Olinda now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Sunny Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Brea Olinda is taking a road trip to challenge El Modena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brea Olinda is facing El Modena at the right time seeing as El Modena is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sunny Hills, they will be playing at home against Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
