Basketball Game Preview: Nimitz Vikings vs. Richardson Eagles

Nimitz hasn't had much luck against Richardson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Nimitz Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Richardson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Nimitz is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-64 heartbreaker at the hands of Irving.

Meanwhile, Richardson waltzed into their match on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They snuck past the Farmers with a 60-56 win. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four points.

Nimitz's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Richardson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Nimitz was taken down by Richardson 75-28 when the teams last played back in January. Can Nimitz avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
