Basketball Recap: Monona Grove Comes Up Short

Monona Grove lost against Waunakee back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Monona Grove Silver Eagles took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waunakee Warriors. The loss was the Silver Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Monona Grove fell to 2-1. As for Waunakee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Monona Grove is taking a road trip to challenge Whitewater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Monona Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Whitewater likes a good challenge. As for Waunakee, they will be home for the holidays to greet Oregon at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Oregon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Waunakee surely won't give up without a fight.
