Recap: Hawkins Hawks vs. Jordan Bulldogs
After a string of four wins, The Hawkins Hawks''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Jordan on the road and fell 44-16. Hawkins was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jordan apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2014.
Although Hawkins took the loss, they still got scores from Robert Stewart and Demeiko Crawford.
It was another big night for David Sandy, who rushed for 325 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Sandy was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of De'Marrion Morris-Brown, who picked up 29 receiving yards.
Hawkins' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Jordan, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3.
Hawkins will head out on the road to face off against George Washington Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
