Baseball Recap: Cape Hatteras Wins Going Away Against Hobgood Charter

Cape Hatteras won the last time they faced Hobgood Charter and things went their way on Tuesday too. Cape Hatteras put the hurt on Hobgood Charter with a sharp 10-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Joey Lettieri, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Graham Stutts, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

The win got Cape Hatteras back to even at 5-5. As for Hobgood Charter, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Hobgood Charter will head out to face off against Bertie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bertie has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.64 runs per game on average), something Hobgood Charter will no doubt try to take advantage of.
