Volleyball Recap: Manassas Comes Up Short

Manassas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-4, 25-8.

Manassas' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Manassas is set to challenge their familiar foe Memphis Business Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering will square off against rival Compass - Midtown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
