Football Recap: Collinsville Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ben Daniels and Scott Rigby

After flying high against Bartlesville last Friday, Collinsville came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell just short of the Del City Eagles by a score of 24-21 on Friday. The Cardinals lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-10 score last time.

Collinsville's loss came despite strong showings from Scott Rigby and Ben Daniels. Rigby rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown, while Daniels picked up 69 receiving yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Collinsville fell to 3-1. As for Del City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Collinsville and Del City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Cardinals (ranked 30th) will meet Will Rogers College (ranked 188th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Del City will square off against Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 234).
