Basketball Recap: Winfield Victorious

Winfield hadn't done well against Chapmanville Regional recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Winfield Generals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chapmanville Regional Tigers, sneaking past 63-60. This was payback for the Generals, who suffered a 56-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Winfield is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Chapmanville Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
