Football Recap: Manheim Central Barons vs. West Philadelphia Speedboys

Manheim Central took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They snuck past the West Philadelphia Speedboys with a 47-42 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Barons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Speedboys are ranked 262nd).

West Philadelphia lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ahmeir Green, who threw for 407 yards and four TDs while picking up 15.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 30 yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up three sacks and making six total tackles. Neelaj Armstead also helped out as he racked up 140 receiving yards.
