Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Dryden

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Dryden ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the North Huron Warriors by a score of 9-4. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 15-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Dryden got a big performance out of Tj Mersino, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was Mersino's first of the season. Jayden Stankevich was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Dryden pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for North Huron, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Dryden will be playing at home against All Saints Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Huron, they will head out to face off against Potterville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
